Sponsoring a Girls Softball Team

The mission of Uplifting Women is to empower women in the local community. We have donated to many local women in need but we cannot forget about the future generations. Self-worth and empowerment is something that doesn't come naturally for young girls in today's culture. We believe fostering community and teamwork helps combat these hurdles. It is this belief that lead Uplifting Women to sponsor the West Middlesex girls' softball league by providing a sponsorship we were able to lighten the burden families may feel when the topic of sports comes up in the conversation with their young girls.

Frequently attending the games to watch the girls play was a bonus of being a sponsor. The last game, in particular, stands out when sadly the rival team decided to withdraw at the beginning of the game. Not wanting the girls to miss out on their final game, an idea sparked. Grown-ups vs the kids. Parents and other spectators took to the field to give the girls one final play. Uplifting Women's own board members; Megan and Joyce even took to the fields. Setting a great example to the young girls in the community.
